LatchOn Lactation Consulting

Common questions

Everything you need to know before your first visit.

Every consultation is a full 60 minutes of one-on-one time with McCall. She will start with a complete infant-focused assessment, observe a feeding, evaluate your baby's latch, and take a weighted feed measurement. From there, she provides hands-on guidance and creates a personalized plan for you and your baby.

No referral is required to book with LatchOn. You can schedule directly through our booking system. However, if your insurance requires a referral for coverage, your pediatrician or OB can provide one.

LatchOn accepts Cigna, Aetna, United, and Medicaid. Many families have their visits fully covered by insurance. We recommend checking your specific plan's lactation benefits, and our team can help verify your eligibility.

Anytime you need support. Many families come in during the first week after birth, but there is no wrong time. Whether you are dealing with latch pain, low supply concerns, returning to work, or just want reassurance that things are going well, McCall is here to help.

That is exactly when McCall can make the biggest difference. Breastfeeding is hard, and feeling like you want to quit does not mean you are failing. It means you need support. McCall meets every family without judgment and will help you find a path forward, whatever that looks like for you.

Yes. Telehealth follow-up consultations are available for $75 and are open to families anywhere in Colorado. These are especially helpful for follow-up care, check-ins, and ongoing support when an in-person visit is not practical.
